Set up and prepare

It's important to follow this guidance for the most accurate test results. If you don't have time right now, it's best to wait until you're able to complete each step below.
Before you begin
Wait after recent health events
If you've had a recent infection or injury, wait 2 weeks before testing.
Plan to take your test in the morning and avoid Sundays
Results take as little as 2 working days once posted. Post your sample when the outside temperature is below 25°C. Avoid Sundays, as your sample might sit in the post too long. If testing hormones, check your emails for any test-specific instructions on timing.
Fast for 8 hours before your test
Don't eat anything, or take any supplements, for 8 hours before taking your sample. You can drink water.
Check your emails for any extra instructions
If your test includes female hormones or PSA, check your email for additional instructions before planning your sample collection.
On the day of your test
Set aside 30 minutes
This gives you enough time to prepare, set up and collect your sample.
Drink at least 2 glasses of water
Have at least 2 large glasses of water 30 minutes before taking your sample - being well-hydrated helps with successful sample collection and accurate results.
